ACOUSTICAL STUDIES OF SOME SCHIFF BASES IN 1,4-DIOXANE AT 318.15 K

 

Ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity of solutions of some derivatives of sulphonamide in 1,4-dioxane were measured at 318.15K. From these experimental data, various acoustical properties such as specific impedance (Z), adiabatic compressibility (ks), intermolecular free length (Lf), Rao's molar sound function (Rm), molar compressibility (W), relaxation strength (r), the Vander Waals constant (b), internal pressure (p), free volume (Vf), solvation number (Sn) etc., were determined. The parameters were correlated with concentration and interpreted in the light of molecular interactions occurring in the solutions.
